SACRED VALLEY AT A GLANCE

Day 1 Flight to Cusco

Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Cusco.

Upon arrival in Cusco, reception and transfer to the selected hotel. Morning free to get habituated to the altitude.

Afternoon visit to Cusco, you will stroll in the streets of this wonderful city, visit to the Cathedral, Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) and the nearby ruins: Qenqo (Ceremonial and Ritual center), Puca Pucara (a complex probably used as a tambo), Tambomachay (also called “The Bath of the Inca”) and Sacsayhuaman Fortress (where the main Inca Festivals, Inti Raymi and Warachicuy take place). Return to the hotel.

Day 2 Sacred Valley

Morning departure to explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas.You will visit the little village of Pisac and its charming craft market, where you can see the ancient tradition of exchanging their goods.  Lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon visit to the town of Ollantaytambo and its fortress. This is one of the most remarkable remains of incan empire. On your way back to Cusco, you will visit the village of Chichero and its small chapel

Day 3 – Machu Picchu Sanctuary

Early departure to visit the fantastic citadel of Machu Picchu. Transfer to the train station to Aguas Calientes village, the trajet will take 1h30 minutes aproximately. Uporn arrival in Aguas Calientes transfer by bus to the Sanctuary.  The visit includes the Intihuatana (the Solar Clock), the Palace of the Incas, the Three Windows, etc. At the end of it we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes and then to the the train station to board at scheduled time the train back to Ollantaytambo station. And then transfer back to your hotel.

Day  4 – Flight back to Lima

At scheduled time transfer to the airport for your flight back to Lima
