ARTISANAL FISHING IN GUAJIRA

3 DAYS /2 NIGHTS

Day 1: Flight to Riohacha.

Welcome and transfer to Shrimp. After lunch, canoeing or hiking, you can ibizan seabirds and migratory birds, then visit Ranchería Wayuú with typical food, dances and crafts,  interaction with culture. Transfer to Cabo de la Vela, Uribia.

Dinner and overnight

Day 2 :

Breakfast, artisanal fishing with the Wayuú people (apalanchiis) knowledgeable in the area.  Anchored fishing, picking nasas or with reeds from customers. Lunch, the visit the beaches of Pilón de Azúcar. Sunset at Ojode Agua y el Faro,  walking and observation of marine birds.

Day 3:

Return to Riohacha passing through Manaure and the salt mines. Transfer to the airport. (Transfer to Santa Martha also available).

5 DAYS /4 NIGHTS

Fishing trips with Apalanchii or Wayuú fishermen, who leave for the sea at 4:00 in the morning. to throw hooks and pick up nasas or cages to catch lobster.

Visitors will live a unique experience and the fruit of his fishing will be his lunch that he will later prepare in the Wayúu kitchen with its typical ingredients and techniques.

Day 1:

Arrival in Riohacha, visit to Ranchería, dances, cocktail tasting with typical liquor (chirrinchi mixed with iguaraya or cactus fruit), lunch (friche or goat), interaction with the Wayuú and their culture, myths and legends, face painting, walk along the trail, medicinal plants.
We’ll continue to Cabo de la Vela. Dinner and accommodation in Posada Wayuú.

Day 2:

Departure at 3.00am for the sea with  Wayuú (apalanchiis), transmayos review, nasas and fishing lines.
Return around 11:00 am. You will help in the post fishing activities: cleaning the fishing and boat, lunch is prepared in the kitchen with the catch of the day, with the ingredients and techniques Wayuú (You can prepare the meal with the locals).
In the afternoon, sea bath and rest. Dinner and accommodation in Posada Wayuú

Day 3:

Breakfast and departure for the beaches Rainbow and the Sugar Pylon, taking pictures, short walk, sea bath. After lunch, visit the Lighthouse, photos and then to Ojo de Agua beach, enjoy the sunset. Dinner and accommodation in Posada Wayuú

Day 4:

Fishing Day,  similar to day 2

Day 5:

Breakfast and departure to Manaure to the salt mines, you will learn about the extraction process with local guide.
